Implementation begins with a handoff from sales. Working with the client, account manager and the R&D team you will get a clear understanding of what needs to be delivered. You will keep on top of what the customer needs to do and what we’re committed to perform. Liaising with the R&D team you will help test and implement new features. Rolling up your sleeves you will install and configure our product. As the project approaches go-live your excellent planning and testing skills are put to the test. We toast your excellent work with a bottle of bubbly at the office.

More specifically

The ideal candidate will be required to work with customers in the implementation of PatientWays’ suite of products and services and provide customization of the software. The implementation engineer will be required to work closely with the R&D Team to better satisfy specific customer requirements.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, strategize and install PatientWay products onto client systems. The implementation process includes assessing client needs, integrating with external systems, configuring the software, performing end-to-end testing and training customers’ systems, administrators and help desk technicians.
  • Develop and document best practices and deployment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with customers to assist in determining their specific requirements and configure the system to meet those requirements.
  • Effectively communicate project status to team members and stakeholders in a timely, consistent and clear manner.
  • Work with the R&D team to determine and implement new features for customer
  • Travel to customer sites in Canada and the US, rarely to a maximum of 50%

Essentials:

  • Post secondary education
  • Strong technical skills
    • Extensive experience with Windows and/or Linux
    • Comfort with SQL
    • Ability to program in scripting languages
  • Desire to learn and use Mac OS X
  • Fluent spoken English
  • Great at multitasking & prioritization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate professionally with customers, partners and internal team members.
  • Cool under pressure
  • Self-starter and self-managing.
  • Efficient, organized and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly with attention to accuracy and detail

Bonus points:

  • HL7 Experience
  • Object orient programming experience specifically with Ruby
  • Experience with J2EE web containers, specifically Glassfish
  • Linux and Mac OS
  • Experience with CRM and support ticking systems
